The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two additional suspects, Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun, wanted for their alleged involvement in the N1 billion cryptocurrency fraud linked to Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
The commission made the announcement yesterday via its official X account, revealing that the suspects were last seen at 17 Oremeta Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
EFCC officials urged members of the public to report any information about the suspects’ whereabouts to the nearest EFCC office.
With this latest announcement, the number of individuals wanted in connection with the CBEX fraud has risen to ten.
In April 2025, CBEX users reported being unable to access or withdraw their investments. The sudden collapse of the platform triggered widespread outrage, as many Nigerians claimed to have lost substantial amounts of money.
Earlier in the investigation, the EFCC named eight other individuals as wanted: Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, and Serah Michiro. Authorities also secured arrest warrants for six of them: Olanipekun, Oluwanisola, Uko, Oloyede, Avwerosuo Otorudo, and Chukwuebuka Ehirim.
EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede assured victims that the commission continues to make progress in its investigation and recovery efforts. He confirmed that officials have already recovered “a reasonable amount” of funds and made several arrests.
Olukoyede reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to bringing all individuals connected to the fraud to justice and recovering as much of the stolen money as possible.
